On 28 February 2023, Play'n GO, a leading online casino software provider, announced it had received a Connecticut license. This accreditation will allow the content aggregator to provide an extensive range of top-notch online slots to the American state.
The Connecticut license is the fourth iGaming license for the Swedish gaming giant in the US. The last few months have seen Play'n GO get licenses to power the best online casinos in Michigan, New Jersey, and West Virginia.
It's also worth noting that the company is among the first to be granted an AGCO (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) permit to supply online slots in Ontario, Canada, after the market was launched in April 2022. And with a rapidly expanding team in North America, it is evident that Play 'n GO means business in this market.
Interestingly, Play'n GO predicts the iconic Book of Dead slot to be among North America's top 10 most popular games this year. This is even though the company has only recently obtained the necessary licenses in the region and is live with a few regulated online mobile casinos in the USA.
According to Magnus Olsson, Play 'n GO's Chief Commercial Officer, securing more access to the US iGaming market has been a top priority for the firm, so they are delighted to include Connecticut in their US endeavors.
"Online gaming operators in the US are increasingly looking at retention strategies to mitigate against costly acquisition – especially in expensive media markets like the New Jersey, New York and Connecticut tri-state area. Being able to bring Play'n GO games to Connecticut - the best content in the industry for retention - will be music to the ears of operators and their players," the official continued.
